For baptisms of infants and young children (under the age of 7), preparation is required. Expecting parents should contact the parish office as early as possible.

Every year, St. Francis/St. Edward/Visitation HS Youth Ministry provides a series of 6 classes to prepare high school students (9-12 grade) for the sacrament of Confirmation. Students in the Confirmation program are expected to attend High School Youth Group for the year. All classes are held on Saturday Evening, and start with 5:30pm Mass at St. Edward Church, followed by a meal and teaching session on the Sacraments.

Those wishing to be married at St. Edward church should contact Fr. Michael no less than six months prior to their anticipated wedding date. Before any arrangements are finalized, a period of preparation is required.

In addition to Religious Education for children which meets every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm during the school year, sacramental preparation events readies children age seven and older for the First Reconciliation in the winter, then their First Holy Communion in the Spring (4th Sunday in April at 9:15 am Mass).

Anyone seriously ill, facing major surgery, or in danger of death due to failing health may receive this sacrament of healing, it is not necessary or recommended to wait until the “hour of death.”
